An Afternoon at the Circus

CLICK TO VIEW THE CONCERT PROGRAM!

The New Holland Band will return to the historic Fulton Stage for the third consecutive year. The past two years the band has appeared before sold out audiences, so you may want to get your tickets early. First come - first serve for tickets available only from the Fulton at 717-397-7425.

In days gone by every concert from the little dirt-lot circus to the "Greatest Show on Earth" began with a band concert in the center ring.
The New Holland Band dons the tradition of the Big Top with its concert favorites by Offenbach, Alford, Sousa and the King of Circus Music, Karl King, whose marches are played at 140 beats/minute and whose galops are played at 1 beat/page.  Thrill to displays of musical virtuosity by soloist Frank Kaderabek, formerly Principal Trumpet of the Philadelphia Orchestra, Dallas Symphony and Detroit Symphony.

CLOWNS for the Fulton - two of our features for the "Afternoon at the Circus" at the Fulton on Sunday, August 17 at 3:00 are the world famous CRASH BROTHERS Clowns, trained in the Ringling Brothers Clown School, this dynamic duo will be up to no-good and all-good and sure to touch the halarity bone in all of us.

Once again Dick Hoxworth of WGAL-TV news will appear as Concert Moderator, or should I say "ringmaster".
Relive the thrilling days of yesteryear with the music showcasing the music of Merle Evans as performed in a 1985 concert panorama by the U.S. Army Band.  All under the direction of the Maestro Kenneth Laudermilch and daring assistant, Robert Shaubach who will tame "The Golden Dragon" and the fearless Col. Jere Friday setting the roaring New Holland Trombones through their paces.
